Edwin E. Voigt II is a registered patent attorney and has been a shareholder in the firm of Vidas, Arrett & Steinkraus, P.A. since 2000. Prior to the year 2000 Mr. Voigt was a shareholder in the firm of Palmatier, Sjoquist, Voigt and Christensen located in Bloomington, Minnesota. Mr. Voigt is a 1980 graduate from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in Economics. Mr. Voigt received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1984 and subsequent education in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota between 1987 and 1990. He has extensive experience in all phases of Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law, including prosecution and litigation. Some of the many technical fields where Mr. Voigt has provided patent prosecution services include the Emergency Lighting Industry, Hunting Industry, Cabinet Hardware Industry, HVAC Industry, and Transportation Industries. Mr. Voigt also provides counseling services to clients to enhance the economic value of intellectual property rights as related to licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and the acquisition and strategic management of intellectual property portfolios.

Mr. Voigt has successfully represented clients involved in District Court and/or Appellate litigation concerning Patent Infringement as related to mechanical and electro-mechanical devices; Trade Dress Infringement as related to mechanical devices; Trademark Infringement; Trademark Opposition and Cancellation Proceedings within the Trademark Office; Misappropriation of Trade Secrets and Copyright Infringement. Mr. Voigt also has extensive experience in both Patent Infringement and Patent Invalidity Studies.
